For over 15 years, I have helped organisations communicate what they do, how they do it, and why it matters.
Here is how I’ve helped some of my most recent clients:
European AI & Society Fund
fractional media and communications support
The European AI & Society Fund is a pooled fund that gives money and support to organisations around Europe working to ensure AI is safe and fair for everyone.
I’ve been working with the team providing part-time strategic and day-to-day communications support – from producing the monthly newsletter to writing grantee case studies; developing a new organisational narrative to creating funders’ briefing papers; helping the team turn insight into assets to producing their annual report. I’m currently leading their brand refresh and website development.
The pearl: supporting the small team to develop their thought-leadership to guide and mobilise philanthropy to shape AI that serves people society and planet.
Local Trust
copywriting and editing content for learningfrombiglocal.org.uk
Local Trust is a place-based funder supporting communities to transform and improve their lives and the places in which they live. As their Big Local programme was coming to an end, Local Trust was keen to capture and distill learning from the 150 areas and communities involved.
I worked with them over three years to copyedit and produce toolkits and action plans, and hundreds of Big Local area case studies, resident stories, and transcribe podcast episodes to migrate to their new legacy website LearningfromBigLocal.org.uk
The Pearl: Hundreds of people’s experiences, tips, lessons learnt, personal growth and hyperlocal community change captured to serve policymakers, community groups and funders wanting to improve disadvantaged areas with long-term community-led funding.
World Cities Culture Forum
brand evolution, social media content strategy, report copyediting
Set up in 2012, World Cities Culture Forum is a global network of over 40 creative cities that place culture at the heart of city planning and investment. It recently became an independent charity and needed support to find its identity, put crisis comms processes in place and make its communications more engaging. I created a brand tone of voice, notes to editors, social media templates and posts, wrote blogs and copyedited an impact report on their Leadership Exchange Programme with Bloomberg.
I worked with the team again to produce social posts to promote their annual World Cities Culture Summit, and the inaugural Creative Land Trust Summit. I also copyedited 90+ city culture project case studies for their 5th World Cities Culture Report.
The Pearl: giving a small team the tools and confidence to establish a behind-the-scenes cultural policy network into a global brand, leading and inspiring culture as a force for good in cities.

Kind words
Don’t take my word for it – here’s what my clients say:
I was struggling to find the time to celebrate and share the learning of a complex and innovative tech project.
Charlotte’s help was really appreciated. She took the time to consider the challenge and pitched a couple of solutions. we landed on a interactive report built from a series of interviews with the developers and managers involved across twine’s development journey, alongside a blog capturing the ambition of the new owners.
We had great feedback from the wider team and stakeholders on the engaging (and witty ) copy. Thanks Charlotte for helping us to consider our impact, we don’t reflect on success enough – you really helped us do that!”
Fergus Arkley, Digital Innovation Manager
Power to Change
Charlotte was an absolute delight to work with, making sure that she fully understood the context of our operating environment, and the issues at hand, before auditing our digital footprint, and providing a comprehensive SWOT analysis, with a series of recommended actions.
The report met our brief exactly, and offered fresh insight and ideas that we were able to implement.
Charlotte was professional, friendly and approachable, and delivered on budget and on time. I would work with Charlotte again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend her as a consultant.
